Caring for Vintage Brass
Vintage brass isn’t meant to look brand new—and that’s the point. The slight darkening, soft patina, and tonal variations are part of its story. Clean gently, not aggressively.
For regular upkeep
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For a deeper clean
Use a mild mix of lemon and baking soda or a gentle brass cleaner. Apply lightly, rub softly, and rinse with water. Dry immediately to avoid marks.A few things to keep in mind
Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers
Don’t over-polish—you’ll lose the aged character
Always dry thoroughly after cleaning
Some pieces are better left slightly aged than overly polished. Let them keep their history.
